Afterschool Program

At Hickory Grove Christian School, after-school time is more than just supervision—it’s an extension of the day where students can grow, explore, and thrive! We offer two enriching options designed to support our families and meet the needs of a wide range of students:

• Afterschool Program – for students in grades TK–5
• Study Hall – for students in grades 6–11

Both programs are conveniently held on campus, beginning at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.

Registration: Families may register by completing the online registration form. Space is limited—once capacity is reached, students will be placed on a waiting list. These are full-year programs and are not available for single-day drop-ins. Programs are closed on teacher workdays, holiday weeks, and during the summer.

Fees: Tuition is billed annually and divided into equal payments based on the plan you select.

Our Afterschool Program keeps younger students active, engaged, and smiling with a variety of fun and enriching activities, all in a safe, caring environment.

What’s Included:

• Homework Help – Focused time with teacher support before transitioning to afternoon fun
• Outdoor Play – Fresh air and active time on the playground every day
• Reading Adventures – Creative activities that foster a love for reading
• Computer Lab Time – Educational games and interactive digital learning
• Teacher Choice Activities, including:
  • Arts & Crafts – Hands-on projects that spark creativity
  • Games Galore – Board games, group challenges, and team-building fun

With the perfect mix of structure and choice, students wrap up their day feeling accomplished, energized, and happy to return tomorrow.

Study Hall (Grades 6–11)
A Structured Environment for Success

Our Study Hall program provides older students with a calm, focused space to complete homework, stay organized, and manage their workload effectively.

Each Afternoon Includes:

• Snack Break – A few minutes to relax and enjoy a snack brought from home
• Homework Completion – Quiet, supervised time to work through assignments and projects
• Quiet Reading – Independent reading to wrap up the day in a peaceful way
• Friday Choice Time – A chance to unwind with activities selected by students

By offering structure, support, and consistency, Study Hall helps students build strong study habits and leave each day feeling prepared and accomplished.
