Purpose and Mission

At Hickory Grove Christian School, our wellness team is dedicated to walking alongside parents, as we partner in the spiritual, emotional and physical growth of your children by integrating biblical principles with practical strategies.  Our mission is to encourage students to be committed to their relationship with Christ, connected to each other, balanced in their approach to academics, and wise in the decisions they make. In every challenge and difficulty, we are here to offer prayer, support, and encouragement, affirming that our strength comes from the Lord.

Theme: "Victorious"

This school year, our theme is "Victorious," inspired by the powerful message in 1 John 5:4:

"For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith."

Through this theme, we aim to instill in our students the truth that their faith is the key to overcoming the challenges they face. By grounding them in God’s love and guidance, we hope to equip them with the resilience and confidence needed to navigate life’s ups and downs.

Wellness Initiative Goals

  1. Spiritual Growth: We will provide opportunities for students to deepen their faith through Bible studies, chapel services, and discipleship groups. We want to empower them to live victoriously by relying on God’s promises.

  2. Emotional Support: Our wellness team is committed to offering biblical counsel through mentorship and discipleship, peer support groups, and resources to help students manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. We are here to ensure that every student feels seen and valued.

  3. Physical Well-being: Recognizing the importance of physical health, we will promote healthy lifestyles through physical education, nutrition guidance, and fun activities that encourage physical wellness, as well as, community.

  4. Parent Partnership: We understand the vital role parents play in their children’s development. Therefore, we will host parent nights, provide resources, and create spaces for open dialogue, ensuring that we work hand-in-hand to support the well-being of our students.

Let us hold fast to the truth that through Christ, we are victorious. Together, we will cultivate a thriving, faith-filled environment where our children can grow and succeed in every aspect of their lives.
