Soli Deo Gloria: To the Glory of God Alone

At Hickory Grove Christian School, we disciple students through a biblical worldview, forming them in academics, athletics and the arts. Our growing Fine Arts program gives students from the Early Education Center through 12th grade room to discover and develop the creative gifts God has given them. Your student may be preparing for a future in the arts or learning to serve the Lord with their talents. Either way, they'll find a place here to create, perform and grow.

Throughout the year, students share their gifts through:

  • Chapel performances and end-of-semester concerts
  • At least one adjudicated band festival each year, along with auditions for NCBA honor bands
  • Two drama productions and a spring musical each year
  • Choir performances, tours and community events
  • Student artwork displayed across campus and at school events, featured in the Silent Auction and entered in competitions
  • The annual Exodus yearbook and a weekly school broadcast produced by students

Every arts class is shaped by our Expected Student Outcomes. Students become Committed to God as they use their gifts for His glory. They stay Connected to the Mission as they serve the school community through performances, artwork and storytelling. They grow Wise in Christ as they learn to think critically about art through a biblical worldview. Above all, we hope they come to see God as the ultimate Artist and draw closer to Him through the work of their hands.
