Summer Camps

Learn, create and grow all summer long.

Each summer, HGCS teachers lead week-long morning camps for curious kids from rising kindergarteners through middle schoolers. Camps are small and hands-on, with a Christ-centered focus. Campers build skills, make friends and keep learning in a fun setting led by teachers they know and trust.

Academic and enrichment camps are open to current HGCS students and Hickory Grove Baptist Church members.

What to expect

• Week-long sessions: Monday through Thursday, June and July
• Morning schedule: Most camps run 9 am to 12 pm
• Led by HGCS teachers in our own classrooms and labs
• Small groups so every camper gets attention
• Supplies included in most camps

Camps we’ve offered

• STEM & Math: Hands-on projects and experiments that build problem-solving, confidence and perseverance
• Ready for Kindergarten: A preview of a real school day for incoming TK and K5 students, with Bible, reading, math and handwriting
• Literacy & Musical Theatre: Campers bring stories to life through reading, music, movement and drama
• Science Discovery: A week of experiments, engineering and creative thinking
• Spanish Immersion: Real-life conversation practice, stories and culture, taught in Spanish (for HGCS Spanish Immersion students)
• Art: Mixed media, action painting and creative experiments for young artists
